Brickfields is a much-admired project just yards from Hayes’s new Elizabeth Line station. Rolfe Judd architects, briefed to celebrate the area’s industrial past, produced a design with over 124 water-fronted units, easy access to the new Shackle Dock and, with it, kayaking on the canal. Part of a larger mixed-use regeneration scheme, this is placemaking on a truly grand scale.
