Andrew
Southern
Group Chairman
With 24 years experience in the industry, Andrew oversees all Southern Grove and Future Generation real estate and construction activities.
He specialises in large, regeneration and mixed-use schemes where he has overseen the planning and construction of a residential, student and hospitality portfolio in excess of £1Bn.
Tom Slingsby
Group CEO
Tom leads the team from our global head office in London and focuses on working with landowners and local authorities, structuring deals to maximise returns for all stakeholders, which is the backbone of our business.
Tom has previously worked at Bellway Homes and Hadley Property Group where his main focus was land acquisition. Tom has a BSc in Real Estate from the University of Reading and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor.
Tarek Jumah
Group COO
As group COO, Tarek takes responsibility for the day to day management of our office, and provides guidance on strategic business areas such as finance, investment, construction and operation for the Southern Grove Group.
In addition, Tarek is responsible for the overall performance of our PBSA business unit (Future Generation), and in particular the management of our Joint Venture partners.
Laurence Joseph

& Corporate Governance
Laurence is an ACCA certified accountant who provides financial reporting to the board and corporate governance on all Southern Grove companies. Laurence has 30 years of experience in the industry and spent 13 years as Group Finance Director at Morgan UK where he assisted in building the brand to achieve an annual turnover of £90m.

Hospitality Development
Tim’s leads all hospitality developments, focussing on serviced apartments and hotels. Tim's 25-year career was shaped at the two major UK construction consultancies, EC Harris and Mace overseeing the design and construction of new hotels and refurbishments for both the Radisson Hotel Group and Marriott International.

& Office Development
Gareth is a Chartered Surveyor who joined Southern Grove in 2018 from Countryside Properties. Gareth brings a wealth of delivery experience to the business and has built an impressive reputation for overseeing exceptional, large-scale regeneration schemes for Berkeley Homes.
Taylor Corne
Office Manager
& Executive Assistant
Taylor is responsible for the daily operations of the global head office in London and provides executive support to Andrew Southern and Tom Slingsby. Taylor previously worked in the property sector for 5 years at Berkeley Homes. Taylor has excellent interpersonal skills and understands the importance of an efficient organisation, attention to detail and loyalty to the team.
Kate Blackmore
Head of Marketing
Kate is responsible for promoting the day to day activities of Southern Grove and Future Generation across our social media platforms. Kate oversees and monitors all our marketing and PR channels, running campaigns on social media for all our brands. Kate’s passion, energy and enthusiasm towards the company make her an invaluable member of our team.
Jess Holdgate
Group Finance
Assistant
Jess is a part-qualified ACCA professional and Accounting & Finance graduate. She assists the finance team in initiating and implementing financial processes, preparation of management/ statutory accounts. Jess previously worked at the Association of British Neurologists and Whitemoor Accountants.
Oscar Darlington
Development Assistant
Oscar joined Southern Grove in 2020 having secured a first-class honours degree from the University of Reading. Oscar supports the day to day operations across all branches of the business; assisting in land acquisition, residential development and PBSA delivery. Prior to Southern Grove, Oscar has acquired experience at a number of UK based developers such as Grosvenor Estates, Countryside Properties and Knight Frank.
Sadie Bailey

Assistant
Sadie is currently undertaking Business Administration Level 3 as well as assisting the team with all day to day administration duties and offering support to Taylor Corne.
Sadie is organised, outgoing and offers great interpersonal skills making her a great asset to the team.
Tom Brittain

Hii-life
Tom is the managing director of HiiLIFE, part of the Southern Grove Group. HiiLIFE provides bespoke technology solutions for both private and commercial clients. Before starting HiiLIFE Tom was Head of Sales for Samsung Technologies focusing on the display market. Tom’s spends most of his time generating sales leads for the business and driving the continued growth of the HiiLIFE brand.

Associate
Jack leads all Future Generation sales; driving income, occupancy and brand growth across the portfolio. Developing the right relationships with relevant stakeholders further cementing the brand and occupancy security.
Jack has worked for leading PBSA providers such as; Unite Students, Liberty Living, Axo Student Living and Student Roost.
Jim Cook

Operational Assets
Jim joins our team as Head of Operations for Future Generation’s PBSA portfolio. He will drive to ensure quality and efficiency is achieved across all assets in the portfolio.
After completing a Ba in Business Studies at Manchester Business School, Jim moved into the asset management sector following a distinguished career as a Police Officer.
Tiffany Wong
Sales Manager
Tiffany joins our team with years of experience in the sales industry. She is highly motivated and has a proven track record of delivering increased sales for the companies she represents.
Speaking multiple languages she opens the line of communication between clients, customers and agents creating more personalised relationships.
Chris Whyte
Head of Logistics
Chris is Head of Logistics and personal driver to Andrew and Tom.
Chris has had an established career as a professional footballer. Starting his career with Arsenal in 1981, Chris has gone on to play for West Brom and Leeds United respectively. Chris played a pivotal role in securing the title for Leeds in 1991.
Chris’s loyalty, humour and knowledge of the local London street’s make him a highly valued member of our team.
