Former Cork Coca-Cola plant is acquired by UK student apartment developer

In November 2018 Future Generation acquired the brownfield Coca Cola bottling site on the Carrigrohane Road in County Cork, Ireland. They have since submitted planning permission for a “flagship 624-Bed student accommodation scheme” which will be the largest single PBSA development of its kind in the county.

This acquisition is the first venture Future Generation has done outside of the United Kingdom, and it marks the start of a major European student accommodation development programme. This project coincides with Future Generations strategic partnership with Samsung Electronic, which will astronomically enhance every student’s university experience. The aim is to be on site by spring 2019 and to reach completion by the start of the 2021 academic year.
