    Andrew Southern, the Chairman of Southern Grove, has previously held executive positions at Hadley Property Group, Hadley Mace, Catesby Property Group, Countryside Properties and Mace Group. He has been in the construction and property sector for eighteen years, specialising in the delivery of large scale residential led mixed-use schemes. Andrew has a Masters degree in architectural engineering from the University of Leeds and Penn State in the USA. Andrew’s approach to development is always design led and sales focused. He has secured planning consent and built over 1000 residential units with a GDV in excess of £350m. He is as comfortable delivering high-end single dwellings as well as complex large-scale regeneration projects. His eye for detail, trust, honesty and integrity ensure that joint ventures and development management techniques are a speciality of his.

  • Tom Slingsby | Managing Director, Southern Grove

    Tom joined Southern Grove in 2014 and is wholly responsible for sourcing land and development opportunities. He has a BSc in Real Estate from the University of Reading and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2013. Prior to Southern Grove, Tom held positions at Bellway Homes and Hadley Property Group, where he successfully acquired multiple sites. Tom’s significant experience in land and development has enabled him to understand the requirements for high-end central London development as well as large-scale, mixed-use regeneration. Tom has excellent interpersonal skills and is a team player. He understands the value of property and how to add value through the planning process and design.
    His land acquisition skills are the bed rock of the Southern Grove business plan.

  • Ed Fisher | Managing Director, Future Generation

    Ed Fisher is Managing Director of Future Generation, Southern Grove’s mould breaking concept for the student accommodation sector. Future Generation will obtain planning for, build, manage and operate 10,000 beds of outstanding accommodation and networking facilities, with Ed responsible for the entire project lifecycle.  He joined the business in Spring 2016 from specialist student housing providers Amro Real Estate Partners, where he spent five years as Investment Director. Prior to which he oversaw £500m+ of lending as Associate Director at Barclays Real Estate.  Graduating in economics and holding professional banking and treasury qualifications, Ed provides a robust financial and commercial backbone to Southern Grove.   • Southern Grove purchased the BHS building in joint venture with Topland Group, in June 2015. We hand selected Brimlow McSweeney, known for high end design in Westminster, to bring some high quality Architecture to West Ealing

  • Southern Grove purchased Black Lion House in August 2013, as a 75,000 sq. ft. office building with retail on the ground floor. We flew to the US and procured the Architectural skills of Grzywinski & Pons, renowned for its delivery of leading hotels in Manhattan, New York City, USA

  • Southern Grove in joint venture with Far East Consortium International Limited, Countryside Properties and Notting Hill Housing pitched to be the joint venture partner of Barnet Council for delivery of the Brent Cross South redevelopment project The consortium, named ‘Gateway Barnet’, if successful, will be working in Joint Venture with Barnet Council, alongside Hammerson and Standard Life. The entire masterplan, equivalent in gross area to that of Mayfair, will become a significant new town centre for London.

  • Southern Grove designed a 69 unit residential led scheme with ground floor commercial uses for the former industrial estate in the regeneration area of Old Kent Rd

  • Southern Grove, in joint venture with Hurlington and Bmor, purchased a site on the canal side, a stone’s throw from Hayes’ new Crossrail station

  • Southern Grove purchased the King’s Arms, Acton, in October 2013. The original business plan was for a modest housing and retail scheme but listening to Ealing Council we responded with a design led, fully residential scheme with larger family flats

  • Southern Grove, in joint venture with the landowner, designed a 9,500 sq. ft. house off Loom Lane, Radlett. This under-developed site has been transformed into a beautiful residence, making ideal use of the topography of the site
